Surprise Baby Shower!
I have been really lagging on the blogging front. We have been busy out on the lake on the weekends, and lounging around the house during the week.
On July 8th my Mom, and Lauren and I went down to the Bay Area to visit my Grandma and my aunt and cousins. It was a wonderful visit we got to spend time together, feel Henry kicking, listen to his heartbeat, shop, and they threw me a surprise baby shower!!!!
I was so surprised and touched by how sweet and thoughtful my Mom, Grandma and Aunt are. It was a beautiful shower full of laughter, and celebrating the arrival of our little man. He was spoiled by so many friends and family and I cannot wait to use everything with Henry :)

I Passed!
So at 27 weeks and 3 days I went tp have my 2hr glucose test, and I was expecting it to be way worse than it actually was. I had to drink the room temp, super sugary, orange drink within 5 mins. And then sat in the Sutter lab. I wasn't bad at all. Worst part was that I was fasting so I was STARVING! Guess Henry was prepping me for this test with his love for Otter Pops, and Slurpees :)
At my 28 week check up with Dr. Ho she said I passed and my levels were nice and low which is just what I wanted to hear. Now the only thing I need to worry about with my sweet tooth is gaining a ton of weight (which hasn't been an issue...yet.)

Nursery Project
Last night I painted letter's for Henry's room. I used Behr's "Exploring Khaki" and then cut out scrapbooking pages for the front of the letters. I think they turned out really well and Tucker and I decided that we will put them above his closet. I love adding all of these little touches to Henry's room to make it unique...Next project: Mobile for above his changing table.
Happy Father's Day!!!
Since Tucker had to work on Father's Day we decided to go out on Friday night for Lucille's and have some yummy food. I gave Tucker his Father's Day present; A book that he can read with Henry. It's called "Connor's Big Hunt" and it's about a little boy and his first hunt with his Dad.
Then Father's Day morning started off with Tucker having to work which was really sad but luckly he was able to get off early and joined my family for a day at Bear River! We had a great BBQ with chicken, steak, slaw and potatoe salad. Everyone went tubing down the river and after two times down Tucker and I decided we wanted to go with them. It was so much fun! The rapids were hardly rapids at all and I never once hit my butt on a rock. Guess I am a pro since my old man fell over :)

Baby Shower Gifts...Already!
A few weeks ago (before our invitations were even sent out!) we received a few gifts from my family, and this weekend I put them together.
I absolutely love everything, and cannot wait to use them all with Henry...but now that we have some big items in our house we are now realizing how much space this little man is going to take up. Good thing we have a lot of space :)

Viability Week!
Yay! We have reached a huge milestone. We made it to 24 weeks, many books and experts consider this "Viability Week" the week during a pregnancy where a baby will have better odds at surviving if born prematurely.
Of course the baby's survival rate will only increase with each week, but it is still exciting to know that we have made it to "V-Week". We want Henry to stay put for at least another 15-16 weeks (ask me mid-August, and I may say he can come out whenever!) so that he can grow to be a healthy and strong little man :)

Working on the nursery...
So we are doing a Woodland Animals theme in Henry's room, and are keeping it gender neutral just in case baby #2 is a girl since they will share a room. We were going to do wall decals but they were super expensive, so I decided to rent an overhead projector, print the images I liked on transparencies, and then sketch and paint the art. It came out better than I could have ever imagined and I love, Love, LOVE! Our nursery so far.
We also found some ideas on-line for framed art work and Tucker and I made them last night! Too cute huh?!?!

Happy Mother's Day!
Well today was my first Mother's Day and it was fabulous! Tucker came home on Saturday with my present and was so excited for me to open it that he wanted me to open my gift right when he got home, but I wanted to wait until today. So we woke up really early and I opened my...BELLY CAST!!!! I can't wait for Henry to grow a lot more so I can have an impressive belly cast, then we will paint it and maybe hang it in his nursery or in our stairway.
We also went over to my parent's house and I was suprised by another gift, a new Coach diaper bag, which I absolutely LOVE! I can't wait to use it, and be a chic mama out and about with my little man.
Then we went to Kane's where we ate, and ate, and ate. I didn't know that I could pack away that much food. It was delicious! It was such a wonderful day spending time with my family, and we realized that next Mother's Day Henry will be an "outside" baby and I can share "my day" with him :)

Henry's 2nd 3D Ultrasound
We got to see our little boy this morning and he still was a little stubborn booger and wouldn't really move around. We were able to get a could of good shots of his "boy parts" and he is still definitely a boy!!! In 15 years he will probably want to "kill" me for showing these off, but I don't care, I am a proud Mama! So here is photographic evidence that Henry is indeed Henry. :)
Happy Easter!!!
Well little Henry is already spoiled and enjoying Easter even though he is not an "outside baby" yet. Both sets of grandparents got him Easter gifts. My Mom and Dad purchased a cute bear step stool and a super adorable and soft & cozy blanket and Tucker's parents put together a frog themed Easter basket full of wash rags, two bath towels, a sleeper, baby wash, bath toys, and books! No doubt about it this little guy is loved by his family already!

So, we are remodeling our master bathroom...
And it has been a pain in the butt! We have had blood, leaking water, dust galore, and countless trips to Home Depot but I know in the next few weeks it will be done and we will love it! I am so lucky to have such a handy husband, and in-laws who can help us with the labor. Good bye linoleum, and ugly tile!!!
